The Tamil University is publishing quarterly journals Tamil Kalai in Tamil and Tamil Civilization in English. These volumes contain various research articles in the fields like art, culture, music, stage-plays, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, grammar, linguistics, history, religion, philosophy, geography, history, archaeology, epigraphy, earth sciences, astronomy, navigation and shipping, astrology, siddha medicine, engineering sciences and handicrafts that have developed on the basic of the Tamil language and literature, and in the ancient Tamizhakam or among the Tamil Diaspora or through interactions with Tamizhagam, Tamil language and culture .
